History

SPP was established in 2003 as the first school in the Nacel International School System. At SPP, we deliver a unique educational experience to students from the Twin Cities and around the world; over 50 countries have been represented at SPP. Our small class sizes allow for challenging curriculum with individualized learning, all within an internationally rich environment. SPP is an AdvancEd accredited, university/college preparatory school, enrolling students in grades 9th through 12th.

SPP is one of several schools in the Nacel International School System (NISS), which is overseen by Nacel Open Door, Inc. (NOD). NOD is an international student exchange program, providing over 2,000 students the opportunity to come to the U.S. to live with Host Families and attend American schools for 5 -10 months. In 2003, NOD’s vision was to create an international school system where students could come from around the world and be prepared to succeed in a global community. Following the creation of the NISS umbrella program, SPP was opened as the first school in the system. Today NOD has more than 10 schools around the world.

St. Paul Preparatory School is also an affiliate of the University of St. Thomas.
