Student Life: Clubs

Education extends well beyond the classroom at St. Paul Prep. Our students prepare for college and for their futures as active citizens of a global society in their everyday interactions and through collaboration in clubs and extracurricular activities.

Below are our current club offerings; these may change from year to year in response to student interest and staff availability.

Our Clubs

Art Club

Art Club is creative, focused, messy, and active. Students work with ceramics, watercolors, charcoal, photography, book arts and more. All ability levels are welcome.
This club runs November-May

Board Games Club

Board Games Club is for students who enjoy board games, from Monopoly to Settlers of Catan, and meets weekly after school. Board Games Club runs throughout the year.

Math Team

The Math Team club is for students interested in sharpening their math skills in many areas of mathematics. The club competes in the Minnesota Math League competitions – a series of five meets held at local high schools throughout the academic year. Students may also compete in the American Mathematics Competition (AMC) contest to obtain entry into the prestigious AIME math contest. The Minnesota Math League competes from November until February, and the AMC and AIME events are held in February and March.
This club runs through September-April

One-Act Plays

Students will work together to put on productions of one-act plays throughout the year. Students who are interested in acting, directing, or set design are encouraged to sign up.
This club runs January-May

School of Rock

School of Rock is a group of students who choose a song, practice it, and eventually perform the song at the end of semester Talent Show. They also learn important things like how to handle the press and how to have the best hair. Runs all year.

Student Council

The Student Council meets every week to address some of the cultural issues that come up during the school day, along with planning social events for the school. In effect, the group is both a leadership team and a student council. Throughout the year, the students have opportunities to perform community service, engage in cross cultural simulations, help orient new students to living and attending school in the United States, and organize school activities to encourage cross-cultural relationships among all of the students.
This club runs through September-May
